Jerry is Managing and Co-Founding Partner at Greenfield Rodriguez LLC. Born into an immigrant family in one of Los Angeles' most impoverished, crime-ridden neighborhoods, Jerry appreciates the fear that comes from a knock at the door, the quiet paranoia that follows, and the community resilience that keep families intact. Those early years gave him more than memories--they gave him a lived understanding of the pressures that drive people into risky choices and the daily realities of frequently-patrolled neighborhoods. But he also lost loved ones to senseless violence, so he learned firsthand how grief and insecurity compound the harms of poverty and crime. Those losses deepened his commitment to both protecting individuals and preserving the safety of neighborhoods.
He saw friends and relatives swept into the criminal justice system: late-night arrests, confusing charges, and the crushing weight of prosecution for families who could neither afford counsel nor trust institutions. He saw friends and loved ones fed to the deportation machine: ICE raids, exorbitant bonds and attorney fees, with no right to counsel. Those experiences drove him to law school with a single aim: to stand beside people who need a fierce, informed advocate to articulate not only their truth--the truth as it exists in their neighborhoods and in their communities; not because they asked it to be that way, but because it simply is that way--but also to conform the law to those truths.
Today, he practices criminal and removal defense with a perspective few attorneys can match. His time as a prosecutor allows him to anticipate the offensive attack from the government, but his upbringing informs the counterattack. He blends courtroom skill with deep cultural empathy--comfortable translating between legal strategy and the lived concerns of our communities. His background allows him to anticipate how charges, status, family, and neighborhood pressures intersect, and to craft defenses that reflect the whole person, not just the case file.

Jerry received a Juris Doctor from the Pennsylvania State University, Dickinson School of Law and a Baccalaureate of Arts from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. He is licensed to practice law in Maryland and authorized to practice federal Immigration Law anywhere in the United States. He is a member of the bar of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
